The Zurich Zoo Is One Of Our Favorite Places

The girls and I enjoyed the most beautiful day of sunshine at the Zurich Zoo this week. We started the day at the Burkliplatz farmer’s market, then took the tram to the zoo. The tram ride passes through some of the most beautiful parts of Zurich with amazing views along the way.

The gift shop is the perfect place for your children to dress you up in a sombreros and take pictures of you while you try to shop for chocolate.

Heike also enjoyed trying on the sombreros while playing with her new pet snake. The hardest part about leaving a gift shop is leaving the gift shop. Am I right? Our trick is to look forward to the next adventure to keep them excited. Then you can easily grab the toy out of their hands and leave quietly.

Hadley is always mesmerized by a display of Schleich animals. Each time we arrive at the zoo gift shop she heads straight for them. The selection at the zoo is fantastic! There are toys, books, chocolate bars, teas, fresh fruits and vegetables, etc.

My girls love a gift shop. Don’t we all? The zoo gift shop can keep them busy for hours. There is a cafe on one side and a restaurant on the other, making this a one stop shop for child entertainment. As long as your children love food and shopping.[

The Quaibrücke is a bridge over the Limmat River on Lake Zurich. We walk over this bridge frequently as it is where our bus stops at the Burkliplatz. We walk through the farmer’s market at the Burkliplatz, then get onto the Zoo tram. I also think this view of Zurich is just fantastic.
