Sunday Brunch Cruise on Lake Zurich
Sunday Brunch Cruise
Sunday morning we boarded a Sunday Brunch Cruise at the Burkliplatz at 10:30am. The cruise departed on time (of course) at 10:50am and returned at 1:15pm. It was in the 90’s yesterday and such a blue sky day. It was absolutely beautiful as we entered the all glass Panta Rei ship and were shown to our table. We received a bottle of orange juice and coffee. Then we walked over to the breakfast buffet to fill our plates with bread, cheese, meats (hot and cold), salmon, yogurt, bircher muesli, and fruit. (No pancakes…just saying.)
Price
The Sunday Brunch Cruise is 41chf per person in 2nd class. Children under 6 are free (They did not charge our 4 or 6-year-old for anything which I thought was very nice). There were a lot of children in our area of the ship so I would say it’s pretty family friendly. Plus, there are so many floors to explore including the sun deck. The Sunday Brunch Cruise is only offered for a short time in the summer. So check online to make a reservation.
There is a cruise for every imaginable occasion. There is even one for Swiss National Day on August 1st which looks fun. Take a look at all the themes and reserve your tickets online. We paid for our Sunday Brunch Cruise at the end our loop of Lake Zürich on Sunday. I was concerned as I thought we should have paid before we boarded and I was a bit confused. But at the end the waiter came by and we paid. Phew.
So Many Boats and Trams To Eat On
I think I’m becoming obsessed with Zürich transportation and eating activities. Like a Zürich bucket list of food related transportation options. We did the Apero Tram last week, the Sunday Brunch Cruise yesterday, and I just bought our tickets for the Sushi Tram from the Bellevue Tram stop yesterday. I’m hoping the Sushi Tram is amazing as it is twice the price of the Sunday Brunch Cruise.
This is the last week of school and then we head to the USA for a quick holiday to see family and friends. Hadley’s 7th birthday is this week (it feels like she just had her 6th birthday party!) and I’m trying to declutter our house so I can figure out if and what we need to buy in the USA (aka Target). Time is flying.
