Sunday Brunch And Thai Lunch At The Zürich Zoo

On Sundays from 9:15-11:30, the Thai Lodge (aka, Elephant area, upstairs) at the Zürich Zoo serves a wonderful brunch buffet overlooking the elephants. From 11:30-16:00, the brunch turns into a Thai lunch buffet. The best part? Make a reservation for the brunch and the Thai lunch is included in the price and you can come and go in between brunch and lunch as you wish. This was definitely a wonderful day out at the Zürich Zoo.

Top Tip

The secret is to book the brunch, pay, get a bracelet, and eat brunch and lunch there until 16:00. The best part is you can have brunch and come back and eat lunch. Come and go as you please! Eat, wander the zoo, repeat.

The Food

Breakfast

The food is very good. For breakfast there are eggs, bacon, sausages, bread, yogurt, muesli, fruit, fresh tropical juices, prosecco, and coffee.

Thai Brunch

The food is so good and Thai food is hard to find in Zürich. There are three types of curry: Vegetable, Beef, and Chicken. Fried Rice, Jasmine Rice, salads, and different noodle dishes. There is also a variety of desserts at breakfast and at brunch including Berliners, Lemon bread, and tropical delicious cheesecake type mousse.

Reservations Required

The kids had a wonderful time watching the elephants from high above. It was like we were VIP’s having a table to sit and enjoy watching the elephants while the crowds down below jockeyed for position to view the newest little baby elephant. Our kids were so busy watching the elephants that we had so much time to catch up with our friends. We will definitely be going back soon for another double-header of brunch and lunch, spending an entire day at the zoo.
