Santorini in 48 hours With Kids
Our family spent two nights in Santorini in June 2014. It is the most stunningly beautiful place I have ever seen. I can’t stop looking at our pictures and wondering when we can go back. We stayed in the town of Oia at Nostos Apartments. It was slightly difficult to find our hotel since our GPS kept saying “you have arrived” but we didn’t see any hotels. Then the hotel manager came to fetch us, took our bags, and walked us down 50 of the steepest steps I have ever seen, to our beautiful apartment.Nostos Apartments was absolutely gorgeous. Our apartment had a direct and unobstructed view of the Aegean Sea. We were right in the heart of the town, off the main street full of restaurants and shopping. This is a place for honeymooners. I did not see another child, let alone another family, while we were there. This place is private, quiet, and perfect for a relaxing weekend. All we could see from our room was the sea, our two beach chairs, and our umbrella. Perfection. The pool was gorgeous and the breakfast was nice and intimate.
The pictures speak better than I could ever describe. I came back from our trip telling everyone I knew that they needed to immediately book a holiday in Oia. A year later, I can’t stop thinking about it.
Have you taken your family to Oia? I want to go back for a long weekend this year and would love to find a family friendly place to stay.
