Our 2015 travel year in review
Happy new year! 2015 was a wonderful year of travel. It was our first full year living in Zürich. One of our coolest day trips was in April. We drove from Venice to Zürich in about 6 hours! For Easter weekend, we drove to Amsterdam to see the tulips at Keukenhof. And on the weekends, we can get to France or Germany in a little over an hour! I was born in a small town in between Vancouver BC and Seattle and never dreamed of seeing so many countries so easily. Actually, I always dreamed about it. It’s absolutely amazing to think we live so close to so many of these historic European cities. Here’s where we traveled in 2015:
2015 Travel
January- Liechtenstein, France and Germany
February- Austria, London
March- France, Germany and The Netherlands
April- Italy
June-France
July- USA
August- USA
September- USA
October- South Africa
November-Milan
December- Zermatt, Germany, France
We began at a Kinderhotel in Austria in February which was a first for us trying an all-inclusive holiday. For the first time since having my daughters, I went on a girl’s weekend. OK, 4 girl’s weekends! And it was amazing! I went to Milan, Paris (twice) and London. Big cities are so much different when you aren’t searched for a bathroom! For the Easter holiday we drove to Amsterdam and took a day trip to Keukenhof to see the gorgeous tulips. Keukenhof is an amazing wonderland for children. I would really like to get there again in the next year or two. Amsterdam is one of my all time favorite cities in the world. In April we met some family and friends in Bellagio on Lake Como. Then we went to Venice. Then in the summer the girls and I headed to Seattle. In September we took a quick weekend holiday to see family in Chicago. In October we went to Cape Town and Pretoria. And in December we went to Zermatt for a week of skiing.
Here are some of my favorite pictures from 2015.
