Family Friendly Mumbles, Wales
Mumbles is the sweetest little town in Wales. While we were living in London we took a February holiday week away to spend in this beautifully colorful seaside town. For years my Mom and Dad told us about the cutest town they had been to, called Mumbles, in Wales. So finally, while we were in London, we drove to Mumbles. I found the most colorful street right in the center of Mumbles and rented a sweet cottage. As I was looking through pictures of our travels tonight, I found these beautifully colorful pictures of Mumbles and had to write a quick post.
The town had everything we needed. We stayed in a brightly colored house straight up the street from the playground on the ocean. Our cottage was only a few minutes walk from the playground and all the shops. Across the street from the playground were plenty of options for food. There was a beautiful seawall walk next to the playground where it seemed like we could walk for miles, or as long as you can with a two and four-year-old. There was also a beautiful long stretch of flat beach people walked along when the tide was out. Above our cottage was a short little hike to an amazing lookout over the sea and the rooftops.
While in Mumbles, we took a day trip to Rhossili Bay. This beach is consistently named as one of the most beautiful beaches in the UK. This world-famous beach did not disappoint. It was absolutely gorgeous. We parked at the parking lot and walked the short path to the edge of the cliff among the sheep before heading to the beach.
