Honold Schoggi Tram 2015

The Swiss Chocolatier, Honold, is hosting a Schoggi Tram (Chocolate Tram) this week in Zürich. The chocolate tram runs only October 30-November 8, 2015 and space is extremely limited. You can buy your tram tickets online.  Tickets are a bargain at only 10chf a piece.

My girlfriend, her two boys, my husband, our two girls and I filled up the tiny blue tram this afternoon. The sun was shining bright with temperatures in the 60’s. We are enjoying a little extra summer in November. This was the most spectacular day to come to town for a special tram ride. The chocolate experience begins at Bellevue, just opposite the Zurich Opera House (right next to my hair dresser and my favorite coffee shop!) The 30 minute tram ride takes in all the famous sites of the city from the Bahnhofstrasse to the Burkliplatz before arriving back at Bellevue.

Once onboard the tram we were greeted with a cup of hot chocolate. Next they brought us their house specialty, Pain de Gênes, which tastes a bit like pound cake. Next a silver tray overflowing with chocolates arrived. Then they brought everything around for a refill! More hot chocolate, truffles and cake! Oh my! The milk chocolate truffle was my absolute favorite. Hopefully Santa will put a nice box of truffles in my stocking this year!

We loved the chocolate tram. Now I need to hop online and buy tickets for the fondue tram!
