A Weekend In Geneva
Geneva Weekend Getaway
Geneva is the perfect family friendly weekend away from Zurich. We had just enough time to do some fun things while planning the next weekend to come and stay again to see some more. We loved the fun and family friendly activities to do in Geneva. And the service was absolutely incredible everywhere we went. Oh, and did I mention we brought our new puppy? Geneva is also dog friendly, too.
Our Hotel
We started by checking in to the Hotel Bristol Geneva. And PS, we would highly recommend staying here. And we will stay here next time we are in Geneva. The hotel was so quiet, beautiful, and gorgeous. We absolutely loved it. We had adjoining rooms at the end of a hallway. Our room looked on to the private park where we took our puppy as often as we could. The kids room looked on to Laduree (my favorite place for French macrons), The Four Seasons, and Lake Geneva. The hotel has the best location to explore Geneva while being absolutely silent at night. I could not believe how comfortable the bed and pillows were and the absolute silence at night. When is the last time you thought the bed and pillows were amazing in a hotel?
Making Swiss Army Knives
Our first adventure activity was making Swiss Army knives at the Victorinox flagship store in Geneva. We all loved this activity. Being a family of five, we set up shop and made ourselves at home, occupying a corner of the store with our puppy, our sleeping toddler, and the rest of us making our knives by hand. We decided to engrave our knives in honor of my husband’s grandfather, who sadly passed away during the coronavirus pandemic in his home country of South Africa. It was so special to dedicate this fun activity to him, while having these knives for years to come.
Tree Adventure Park
Our next family friendly activity was the kids’ favorite part of the weekend, the tree climbing adventure park, Parc Aventure Geneve. We took a taxi out of the city center and in to the most beautiful park. It reminded me of London. A huge, sprawling flat grassy park, with a playground, adventure park, track, and skateboard park. We spent 4 hours here and the kids were in heaven. The adventure park was fun for our toddler up to our 11 year old. And all the kids want to come back when they are old enough to do the 14+ adventure course. So we already have big plans to come here again. But this park should be on your list in Geneva. It was the perfect getaway.
Hotel Bristol Geneva
This post is sponsored by Hotel Bristol Geneva and Geneva Tourism. We spent a wonderful family friendly weekend away in Geneva. Geneva Tourism created the most amazing itinerary for our family which included our new puppy. All thoughts are my own and completely stream of consciousness as always.
Right now Hotel Bristol Geneva is having a Family Time special with the Geneva Box and an automatic upgrade to adjoining rooms when traveling with a family. Check out Hotel Bristol Geneva and Geneva Box to have the same great weekend away we enjoyed.
