10 Best Brunches in Zürich
Brunch is very important to our weekend happiness. Every Saturday and Sunday we rotate between making crepes and pancakes for breakfast at home. Once we finally venture out of the house, we head for brunch. Here is our list of the 10 best family friendly brunches in Zürich.
Cafe Bebek
Bebek is the place to have Sunday brunch. Order the all you can eat Sunday brunch for the whole table, for parties of 6 or more. Adults are 31.50 francs per person. Children 6-12 are charged 2 francs per year they are and children under 6 are free. Bebek has a huge glass window at the far end of the restaurant where restless kids (or adults) can watch the trams go by.
The Sunday brunch is all you can eat, which is a rare find in Zürich, but pretty standard for Sunday brunch. There is so much food and something for everyone. We took the train to Bebek in Wiedikon. From there we walked a few minutes behind the Wiedikon station and we were there. It’s maybe a 5 minute walk from the station. So easy.
Bebek is very busy for Sunday brunch so make sure to call and reserve a table.

Maison Blunt
A gorgeous Moroccan inspired mezze brunch at Maison Blunt is absolutely out of this world. The eye candy and Instagram worthy decor is only outdone by the absolutely gorgeous presentation of food. A reservation is recommended, especially on weekends.

Cafe Des Amis
Cafe des Amis is a true Parisian gem in Zürich. This French brunch is absolutely gorgeous and beautifully served. The staff is friendly and I get a wonderfully relaxed vibe every time. I love to sit upstairs on the cozy sofas and have a slow brunch. The outdoor area is wonderful in the warm and sunny months. They have great fresh juices and delicious coffee.

Babu’s Bakery and Coffeehouse
Babu’s is how brunch is meant to be. If you have been to Muriel’s Kitchen in South Kensington, then Babu’s will feel like home. The staff is friendly and super helpful. From fresh juices, cakes, and pastries to pancakes (the fluffiest pancakes in Zürich) and eggs, they have it all. There is even an afternoon tea that I’m dying to do. Stop in for coffee and a piece of cake if nothing else. Tip: Find a seat, put your bag down, walk up to the counter and order.

Bohemia
Bohemia has a great brunch with kid friendly options. They have gorgeous pancakes, bagels, omelettes, and everything you expect from brunch. This is a busy weekend spot, so definitely make reservations. Tip: For our girls we ordered the blueberry pancakes and let them split it with a side of bacon and a side of beans. Absolutely perfect.

Tibits
Tibits is a beautiful vegetarian restaurant with pancakes and a buffet and weigh style brunch. Since the food is buffet style, just walk in, grab a plate and get going. At the counter they weigh it and you can order drinks. Tip: There is a nice play area for kids as well as plastic plates, utensils, and cups along with kindersirup or babyccino you can order at the counter. There is a gorgeous floral wallpaper in one of the dining rooms that is definitely Instagram material.

Hiltl
Hiltl prides itself on being the first vegetarian restaurant in the world. We usually pop in for their Indian buffet lunch, but they also make a wonderful weekend brunch including coffee and house wine. Make reservations for their full brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. They also have daily brunch before 10:30am. Tip: Upstairs the kids can color on the windows and watch the chefs cook. There is also a children’s play area downstairs. Hiltl has a variety of locations around Zurich.

Fork and Bottle
If you live anywhere near Zurich, and you hear the word “brunch”, people will say, “Have you been to Fork & Bottle?” It’s THE place to brunch like an American. There are so many expectations I put on Fork and Bottle. It’s unfair how high of expectations I put on this place. This place is known as the expat hangout for those missing their brunch in this European city.
However, here is what Fork & Bottle nails. It has the most incredible family friendly location. There is no better location of a brunch spot for kids to be set free than Fork & Bottle. Located in huge green space perfect for cycling are horses and animals on a tiny farm outside, next to the river with gorgeous views of fields and mountains. There’s a large beer garden has a play area for children and they can cycle and scooter in this fantastic green space next to the restaurant. The menu looks exactly like I might find in Seattle or London. Upstairs in the restaurant is a play area that can accommodate large groups or birthday parties. They do a mean breakfast burrito, fluffy pancakes, and all the eggs required of a great brunch spot. Make reservations by email.

Bubbles
Bubbles is a really family friendly place to have a nice full English breakfast. They have loads of board games that our girls loved playing until our food arrived. I had a hearty portion of smoked salmon with eggs and my husband got the full English breakfast. I’m pretty sure our girls, once again, had pancakes.
